The meatballs are delicious! Homemade italian food. Cozy atmosphere and the owner has a big personality. :) I recommend the meatball sandwich with marinara dipping sauce! It's so delicious!

Small menu that the owner/chef will tweak for some dietery if you ask and she can. Love this place

Very intimate place, if you have a Groupon call ahead even though it doesn't say to. Homeade food, owner makes the place vibrant. Canoli was amazing. Waited over 40+ min for our dinner since its freshly made and the portion seemed small (7 small raviolis) for the wait. Because it is freshly made and only one chef dinner was ok. Will come back for their lunch panini and pastry.

Great food, great vibes, good music, hidden gem

We were guided to the Cafe Avellino at 242 Humphrey Street in Swampscott. What a Jewel we found! Cafe avellino is a quaint Seaside Cafe with wonderful food excellent service and live music! Perfect place to go in for a little bite anytime, great paninis salads desserts an array of different types of coffees and teas. Saturday evenings and Sunday brunch time they have live music, this weekend music was performed by One Dime Band, we love these guys and try to follow their venue as we really enjoy their music. Mother's Day brunch was filled with sweet acoustical sounds. Just the perfect afternoon at Cafe Avellino. You've got to go try this place you won't be disappointed!

Just ate here & it they had the BEST italian food I have ever eaten. Had a sampling of Arancini, a ziti & sausage dish, paired with a salad. The food was seasoned perfect fully & it was delicious. Owner, Theresa is so warm & welcoming. (Although she will not share her magical recipes with guests). She makes you feel like you are eating in her home. What a gem! It is a tiny restaurant only about 5 tables- so get there early& plan to stay! They had a live acoustic musician (Molly) who played while we ate. Thank you for a wonderful night!
